Welcome aboard! We thank you for your interest in volunteering for WFRScc , and urge you to take a few minutes before your first shift to read through this handbook. It is here to make your and our lives easier, and to ensure smooth operations here at the station.

Any questions not answered here should be directed to any of the management team at the station, who will be more than happy to help.

What is WFRScc ?

WFRScc FM 88.3 (formerly AM 530), "The Franciscan Spirit", is an on-campus carrier-current radio station that is received in all four dorms 24-hours a day. The station is staffed entirely by student volunteers and SWOP workers, and welcomes students of any interest or major to take on a position at the Tri-States' best contemporary Christian music station - WFRScc !

The facility became operational in February of 1992, thanks to the efforts of its current Faculty Advisor Professor David Schaefer. Live DJ's broadcast evenings from Monday through Friday, with continuous-play audio-tape running during off-hours.

What's the Format?

As a part of the Franciscan University of Steubenville, WFRScc plays only Contemporary Christian Music, and provides campus residents with otherwise-unavailable music which does not conflict with the moral code of the university.
